Coming from Milan: Take the highway called A8, drive in the direction of Lakes as far as to go beyond Castelletto Ticino. Take the link with the A26 (direction of Gravellona Toce) proceeding as far as the exit of Verbania. Continue on the State Road n. 34, going beyond the hamlet of Fondotoce and continue running along the lake. At the detour for Suna and Pallanza (traffic-lights), take the slope and go always straight on, passing also the crossroads with Azari avenue (traffic-lights). After 2 km., arrived at Intra, turn around the traffic divider roundabout and leave on your right the main road to Switzerland. Follow the obliged direction way and turn to the right for Corso Garibaldi. Our shop is on your right after 150 meters and in any case before the end of the slope.
Coming from Varese: Arrive at Laveno through the State Road n. 394 and take the ferry to Intra. When arrived turn your's step to the traffic divider roundabout in order to admit in the frontal Matteotti square. Hold your right and at the first occasion turn again to your right. You are now in Corso Garibaldi and our shop is about 150 meters far on your right.
Coming from Turin/Genoa: Reach the highway called A26 and go always straight on as far as the exit of Verbania (direction Gravellona Toce). Now you can see instructions here reported for who's coming from Milan.
Coming from Ticino Canton: Cross the frontier at Piaggio Valmara, situated ad about 10 km. far from Locarno and then go always straight on as far as to reach Verbania. At the first traffic-lights turn to your right for Corso Cobianchi and when you are off A.Moro square (seat of Popular Bank of Intra) turn to your left toward via XXV Aprile. Continue as far as the San Vittore's Basilic, turn around the bell-tower. In front of you there's Corso Garibaldi and our shop is on your left, about 30 meters from the beginning of the downhill.
Coming from Wallis: From the Italy-Switzerland border of Gondo/Iselle continue towards the town of Varzo and take the State Road n. 33 that, starting from the neighbourhood of Domodossola, is double lane. After about 45 km. there is the exit of Verbania. Go always straight on as far as you reach Intra and then turn around the traffic divider roundabout leaving on your right the main road to Locarno. Follow the obliged direction way and turn to the right for Corso Garibaldi. Our shop is on your right after 150 meters and in any case before the end of the slope.
Where to park : As in many others cities, a big problem for Verbania is to find a parking place. Corso Garibaldi (where our shop is) has some free parkings but the stop is allowed only for an hour. In the next Matteotti square there are a lot of possibilities but all on payment, as well as the contiguous Don Minzoni square, and both are not available on Saturday because that is the weekly market-day. Other possibilities, on payment, are in via XXV Aprile (at the top of Corso Garibaldi turning to the right). The few free parking areas are situated on the little San Vittore square (but on the perimeter the stop is allowed only for 30 minutes) and along the via Rosmini (at the top of Corso Garibaldi to the left). |
